Earl Gibson III/Getty Images Veteran R&B singer Eric Benet is calling out black rappers whose lyrics he says degrade black culture.

“RAP ARTIST[S]. If all you rap about is: Killing black people, degrading black women, abusing drugs, materialization, loving a low life, you are not an artist.” Benet wrote on Instagram.

“You are a black face for white supremacy,” he continued. “You are being used to help destroy your own people.”

Benet captioned his post, “Inconvenient truth to some of the rich and famous.”

The four-time Grammy nominee, who has recorded with rappers Lil Wayne and MC Lyte, hit number one in 1999 with his duet with Tamia, “Spend My Life With You.”
