ESSENTIAL WORKERS ACCOUNT FOR MORE THAN HALF OF DALLAS HOSPITALIZED WITH CORONAVIRUS

by

Dallas County suggests higher rates of hospitalization with residents allowed to work throughout the stay-at-home order. There are still thousands of people forced to go into work during this time being considered essential, knowing that if they choose not to go into work they will not get unemployment. These people are still risking their lives to work, and support themselves during this pandemic. Now that some of these essential workers have been hospitalized the County is now tracing the workplaces of those patients infected. Dallas County encourages those businesses reopening to consider their employees safety when coming back to work, or put a hold on the return dates until mid May or June.
