Titled The King & I, the collaborative studio project will include rare and unreleased vocals by the legendary “Big Poppa” rapper, along with guest appearances from Busta Rhymes; Lil’ Cease; 112; Lil’ Kim; Sheek Louch; Jadakiss; Snoop Dogg; Styles P; actor Jamal Woolard, who portrayed Biggie in the biopic based on his life and career, Notorious; and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace as “Mama Wallace.”
The first singles from the album, “NYC,” and “When We Party” are available to stream and purchase via the usual digital platforms now.
The King & I will be released as a CD, digital download and on streaming platforms two days before Notorious B.I.G.’s birthday — May 19 — and is available to pre-order now. A two-LP vinyl set version of the album will also be available on June 9.
