Eric JohnsonFaith Evans wants to continue the iconic legacy of her late husband, the Notorious B.I.G., and one way she’s doing it is via their duets album The King & I, arriving everywhere this Friday.

While talking about one of the disc’s tracks, aptly named “Legacy,” Faith tells USA Today, “The fact that I’m able to do this record and talk about our love, our experiences and that anybody even cares about it, that represents a legacy.”

She adds, “That’s a really special song and people seem to be receiving it well, too.”

Another song on the album, “Lovin You for Life,” features vocals by Lil’ Kim, who was involved in a well-documented love triangle with Faith and Biggie during the ’90s.  Faith confirms her longstanding feud with Kim is now over.

Says Faith, “We are coming together to talk about this man that we both loved and I thought it was important to be woman enough to [be honest]. It’s OK. I don’t hold any hard feelings, so I thought that was really dope.”

The King & I arrives everywhere this Friday and is available to pre-order now. The album will include rare and unreleased vocals by the legendary rapper, along with guest appearances from Busta RhymesLil’ Cease112Lil’ KimSheek LouchJadakissSnoop Dogg, and Styles P.

Others on the album include actor Jamal Woolard, who portrayed The Notorious B.I.G. in Notorious, the biopic based on the rapper’s life and career, and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, known as “Mama Wallace.”
