There are so many top musicians appearing on the Tony Awards Sunday night, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s the Grammy Awards.
Gladys Knight, Fantasia, Patti LaBelle, and Jennifer Hudson are among the performers for Sunday night’s telecast, which airs live from New York’s Radio City Music Hall on CBS starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Gladys, Fantasia and Patti will team up for a performance with the cast of After Midnight, which pays tribute to Duke Ellington‘s orchestra that played at Harlem’s legendary Cotton Club in the 1920s. Judging from Fanny’s Instagram of their rehearsal, the performance will be one to remember.
Viewers can also expect a performance from J-Hud, who is “excited” to showcase a song from the musical Finding Neverland.
Hugh Jackman hosts the festivities, and other stars who’ll be appearing include LL Cool J,Tina Fey, Orlando Bloom, Samuel L. Jackson, Bradley Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Kevin Bacon, Will Ferrell, Zach Braff, Tony Goldwyn, Wayne Brady, Emmy Rossum, Maggie Gyllenhaal and many, many more.
