Kelly Rowland fans are getting a sneak peek into her guest staring role on Fox’s hit music drama Empire later this fall.
In a newly release promo image, we see Rowland tapping into her maternal side as she portrays Lucious Lyon’s mother, Leah. Fans will get to see Rowland in a series of flashback scenes from his childhood.
“Through watching Leah, we learn more about Lucious’s past,” Rowland told TV Insider about her role. “I am an absolute fan of the show. It was the most exciting thing to work with all of these masterminds.”
The second season of Empire to debut on September 23, featuring guest stars Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and more.
