Streeter Lecka/Getty ImagesIt’s a boy! Proud papa Gucci Mane and wife Keyshia Ka’oir Davis announced the birth of their son, Ice Davis.
“My wife just gave me a 7 lb. 1 oz. baby boy. His name [is] Ice Davis 12/23/20 thank you Mrs. Davis. He’s here!” wrote Gucci on Instagram, sharing a photo from Keyshia’s maternity shoot.
Keyshia wrote on her Instagram, “Thank you Lord. OMG he is soooo darn cute and perfect.”
Ice Davis is the fifth edition to the couple’s expanding family. Gucci has a 12-year-old son, Keitheon Davis, from a previous relationship, and Keyshia has two daughters and a son from a previous relationship. Gucci and Keyshia have been married three years.
While the couple were celebrating the birth of their first child, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the baby’s name.
One fan tweeted, “So Gucci and Keyshia really named that baby Ice Davis?,” while another wrote, “That’s what Gucci named his son? Wow. People with money really be out here just doing THE MOST AT ALL TIMES.”
Others were more accepting of baby Ice’s unusual name, thinking of its larger “cultural” impact.
“If that ain’t the hardest name I ever heard idk what is,” wrote one fan, followed by another who said, “Ice Davis is super dope. Pull your head out [your behind]. This 2020/21 and they [are] Black. Its cultural and pushes the envelope.”
Congratulations to Gucci and Keyshia on the birth of their new baby!
