Variety has learned Rae has launched Hoorae media company, a new conglomerate that will consolidate her entertainment production ventures for feature film, television and digital. Hoorae now houses Issa Rae Productions, her management company ColorCreative, and music label Raedio.
Hoorae’s upcoming slate includes projects like the HBO docuseries Seen & Heard, the comedy series Tre Cnt, HBO Max’s Rap S—, Netflix’s Ghost in the Machine, Monkeypaw Productions and Universal’s Sinkhole, and Spyglass’ Perfect Strangers.
The new company will also have Issa’s critically-acclaimed HBO series Insecure and the Robin Thede-led series A Black Lady Sketch Show.
If that wasn’t enough, Rae just tweeted that she’ll make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on October 17, opposite musical guest Justin Bieber.
“Haven’t had Saturday Night plans in a minute,” she wrote, captioning the post.
The season premiere of SNL airs Saturday with host Chris Rock and musical guest, Megan Thee Stallion.
