India Arie, Ruben Studdard, SWV, Lalah Hathaway and Chante Moore are among the many performers scheduled to take stage at BET’s 14th annual Celebration of Gospel.
The network has also lined up gospel legends including Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Tamela Mann, The Rance Allen Group, Yolanda Adams, Erica Campbell and LeAndria Johnson. Viewers can also expect powerful spoken word pieces from Pastor Shirley Caesar and Dr. Bobby Jones.
Taraji Henson will serve as the host for this year’s event, which will be taped on Saturday, March 15 at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles.
“I am thrilled to join the BET Celebration of Gospel family,” said Henson in a statement. “I look forward to a great evening of incredible music and continuing the rich history of BET and gospel music which started 14 years ago hosted by the talented and very funny Steve Harvey.”
The ceremony is slated to air Sunday, April 6 at 8 p.m. ET on BET.
