Raymond Boyd/Getty ImagesXscape surprised fans on Wednesday with news of the ladies officially reuniting. However, the R&B group clarifies that a lot more has to take place before a return to the stage.

Sources tell TMZ that members LaTocha and Tamika ScottTameka “Tiny” Harris and Kandi Burruss are in the “very early stages of making new music” and that a tour has yet to be booked.

However, they are planning a probable biopic and special performance engagements in the future.

And the reason for Xscape’s reconciliation comes courtesy of Tamika and Kandi squashing an 18-year old feud. Their prior beef all started due to Tamika’s claims that Kandi slept with Jermaine Dupri‘s father, which Kandi vehemently denied.

After being discovered by Dupri and subsequently signed to the producer’s So So Def label, Xscape rose to fame in the 1990s with their debut album, Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha and hits singles such as “Who Can I Run To,” “The Arms of the One Who Loves You,” “My Little Secret” and “Do You Want To.”

Following the release of their third album, Traces of My Lipstick, in 1998, LaTocha left to pursue a solo music career. She eventually returned to the group, which went on hiatus until 2005.
