Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu, Tyler, the Creator and Miguel headline AfroPunk Brooklyn festival this weekend

JUCOJanelle Monae, Erykah Badu, Tyler, the Creator and Miguel are headlining the 14th annual AfroPunk Brooklyn festival, taking place Saturday and Sunday in New York City. The list of acts also include Pusha T, Daniel Caesar, H.E.R, The Internet, Yuna, and many more.  

After beginning in New York City in 2005, the festival has expanded to other cities. Maxwell and SZAperformed at the third annual Paris version of the festival in July.

The festival moves to Atlanta for a third year on October 13 and 14, featuring Pharrell Williams’ group, N.E.R.D.

AfroPunk will also arrive in Africa with a two-day fest on December 30 and 31 in Johannesburg featuring Public Enemy.
