by

ABC/ Ida Mae AstuteThe official trailer for the upcoming anthology series Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams features Janelle Monáe.

As previously reported, she’ll star in a standalone episode of the series, all of which are based on Dick’s short stories.

In the trailer, Janelle quietly rides an elevator downwards with two individuals who seem to be curious about their surroundings.

She’s wearing a grey, skin-tight, alien-like outfit.

As previously reported, Janelle’s episode is called “Autofac” — it’s about an automated factory which continues to keep people happy by providing them with products to consume, despite the fact that society has collapsed.

A group of rebels then attempt to shut the factory down.

Monáe plays Alexis, an Autofac representative. Empire‘s Terrance Howard also appears in the forthcoming anthology series.

Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams will debut on Amazon Prime in 2018.
