Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagicJanet Jackson has recorded with numerous stars, including Luther Vandross, Busta Rhymes, Bell Biv DeVoe, Missy Elliott, Diddy and, of course, her brother Michael Jackson. Now she’s planning her dream collaboration with 11-time Grammy Award-winner Bruno Mars.

“Bruno and I, for a while actually, we’ve talked about doing something together, so we’ll see,” Jackson tells Radio Disney. “I know there’s this rumor going around that we have [already collaborated] and we haven’t.”

She adds, “We both want to do something together, so it’s really a matter of finding the time to get together and create something that we both feel is a part of us.”

For her latest single, “Made for Now,” Janet recorded with reggaeton star Daddy Yankee

Miss Jackson received the Rock Star Award on Sunday night at BET’s Black Girls Rock in Newark, New Jersey.  What advice does she have for aspiring artists?  She told Radio Disney that focusing on your career is great, but don’t forget to have fun, too.

“Make sure you keep time [for] not just your work, but be a kid and enjoy the things in life that kids do enjoy,” Janet says. “Be with your friends. Enjoy yourself.”
