The album, titled Originals, will be available on Jigga’s TIDAL streaming platform, according to Billboard.

“Prince led the way, for artistic freedom, for ownership. He’s one of the bravest people I can think of in the industry,” Jay said in a statement.

“He trusted us, not just me, but TIDAL, to continue his fight,” Jay continued. “Trying to help further that legacy through his music is both an honor we couldn’t pass up as an organization dedicated to empowering artists. This gives his true fans that peak behind the curtain.”

The Roc Nation CEO will host a listening party for the 14-song album on June 6 in L.A. Album release parties will also be held in Spain, Poland, and Brazil. Jay selected the tracks, which were mostly recorded in the ‘80s, with Troy Carter of The Prince Estate.

Originals will be available on June 21, with vinyl records being released on July 19. A previous posthumous Prince album, Piano and a Microphone: 1983, was released in September, 2018.
