Michael Tullberg/Getty ImagesJermaine Jackson confirms that sister Janet Jackson is pregnant, and if his wish comes true, she’ll add another female to the Jackson family.
“I hope she’s having a girl,” Jermaine said Thursday night at the Power Up We Are the Future Gala in Los Angeles, reports People. “We need more girls in the family. There are too many boys.”
Janet turns 50 years old on Monday, but 61-year-old Jermaine still sees her as a very young woman.
“My sister Janet is my baby. She is fine but she’s having a baby,” he said. “A baby having a baby. We look at her like our little baby and now she’s grown and having a baby. I’m proud to be an uncle and I can’t wait to see how this baby is going to look.”
Jermaine has eight children, and based on his experience, he’s confident that Janet has the right maternal instincts.
“She’ll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict,” Jermaine said. If Janet needs any assistance, he is ready to be a hands-on uncle.
“I tell her, ‘If you need any parenting skills or baby skills, let me know because I’m the best diaper changer there is on this planet, still to this day.'”
Jermaine’s words are the first confirmation from anyone in the Jackson family that Janet is in fact pregnant.
