Jhené Aiko has scored a new summer gig. The singer is scheduled to take stage as part of the Sorry to Interrupt free concert series, taking place later this week.

She will be joined by pop singer Jessie J, with whom she recorded the title song, “Sorry to Interrupt,” for the event. Aiko tells Billboard that she’s looking forward to working alongside Jessie as well as her other collaboratros, Manchester, England-based pop group Rixon.

“They were all so fun to work with and had lots of positive energy,” Aiko says of their DJ Mustard-produced song, posted on YouTube.  I think I added a bit of my style to this song. I’m usually laid back and that is reflected in the music I make. Both Jessie and Rixton are high energy, so I think I balanced it out by adding some chill.”

Jessie J, Aiko and Rixton will hit the stage for the Pop Tarts’ Crazy Good Summer program  Friday, July 24 at San Francisco’s Nob Hill Masonic center.
