With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, Jill Scott is expressing her gratitude during a guest appearance on Steve Harvey, where she will take part in “Thankful Hour.”
The singer discusses her career beginnings while trying to make a name for herself in her hometown of Philadelphia. “People say that New York is the hardest and I’ve had some wonderful experiences around the world — but I’m from Philly,” she says recalling being booed. “Philly is hard but wonderful.”
Later in the show, airing Tuesday, November 24, Jill also performs “Back Together” from her chart-topping album, Woman.
