John Legend, Beyonce, Erykah Badu Included on President Obama’s Summer Playlists

by

ABC/Randy Holmes President Barack Obama is definitely a music lover, hosting a number of top artists at various White House events and even belting out an Al Green number during a 2012 speech at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.  Now, the Leader of the Free World is sharing his personal playlists with the world.

The White House has released The President’s Daytime Playlist and The President’s Evening Playlist and it’s not surprising that both Beyonce — a buddy of the Obamas — and Al Green are included on the latter list.  Other songs that POTUS enjoys:  “Green Light” by John Legend, “Nothing Even Matters” by Lauryn Hill, “Woo” by Erykah Badu and even “Pusher Love Girl” by Justin Timberlake.

The playlists are rounded out by Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley, The Temptations, The Isley Brothers, Ray Charles and many more.
