Jon Batiste was one of the clear winners at the 2022 Grammy Awards last weekend. And, according to recent streaming data gathered by Variety, his music saw a 950% increase in streams.

The numbers come from business service company Luminate, formerly known as MRC Data. Variety reports that, “Batiste had a total of 307,400 on-demand audio streams. On the day of the show and the following day, his tally for those 48 hours added up to 3,227,300, the difference being a 950% bump.”

Among the most streamed songs were “We Are,” the namesake track of his Grammy-winning Album of the Year. It saw a 2045% streaming increase from the two days before the show to two days after. Similarly, the Grammy-nominated hit, “Freedom,” saw a 1046% increase.

Batiste took home a total of five Grammys including Best American Roots Performance, Best American Roots Song, Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Music Video.

In his acceptance speech for the coveted Album of the Year award he said in part, “you can be yourself and you can win.”
