RCA Music Group”Romance is about the possibility of the thing” — and now it will be possible for fans of the movie Love Jones to see their beloved film onstage, just in time for its 20th anniversary.
The 1997 film, which starred Nia Long and Larenz Tate, will be adapted for the stage this fall. One of the musical’s stars, rapper MC Lyte, confirmed the news on her Instagram account. “Join me and this amazing cast – #lovejonesthemusical #spotlyte – Get details and VIP privileges on the MC Lyte app and on apple and android devices,” she writes.
MC Lyte will be joined by fellow recording artists Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michelle, Marsha Ambrosius, Dave Hollister, and Raheem DeVaughn.
