Jussie Smollett claps back at social media influencer who poked fun at his hate crime hoax allegations

by

ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaJussie Smollett has a message for those who still don’t believe that he was the victim of a hate crime: Y’all are sheep.

The former Empire actor took time to share his frustrations in the comments section of a recent Shade Room post. The post related teh story of a Virginia teen who admitted she fabricated a report of being held down by three white male classmates who cut off her locs.

In the post, social media influencer Derrick Jaxn compared the teen’s story to Smollett’s hate crime hoax allegation, where prosecutors accused Smollett of staging a hate crime against himself back in January.

“Jussie really is a trendsetter,” Jaxn wrote, adding a shame face emoji.

That’s when Smollett fired back.

“With all due respect, y’all can clown me all you want but my story was actually never changed and I haven’t lied about a thing,” Smollett wrote. “Y’all can continue to be misinformed, internalized sheep, who believe what actual proven liars feed you or you can read the actual docs. Either way, Imma be alright.”

“I know me and what happened,” he continued. “You don’t. So carry on. All love.”

As previously reported, Smollett was indicted on 16 counts of disorderly conduct for filing a false police report, though all charges were eventually dropped. That decision is currently being reviewed by a special prosecutor, including the actions of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, whose office dropped the charges.

21st Century Fox, which produces Empire, is now a part of Disney, ABC’s parent company.
