Keith Major/Atlantic RecordsK. Michelle has found a unique way to promote her forthcoming album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart? The singer has announced via Instagram that she’s filmed a video short that pays tribute to the late singer, Billie Holiday. The project is called Something About the Night, which is also the title of one of Michelle’s songs from her sophomore effort.
“‘Something About the Night’ is a 6 minute feature dedicated to the amazing Billie Holiday. Premiers DEC 9, on 106&Park,” Michelle writes in the Instagram caption. She also includes a 15-second teaser from the video, in which she performs in a 1950s inspired gown inside a jazz club.
The singer’s upcoming album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?, arrives Tuesday. “Just so happy to present the body of work,” she says.
