Kandi Buruss-Tucker hopes to get the perfect photo for Instagram to share with her 7.6 million followers this weekend for Mother’s Day.
During a recent episode of Essence’s Yes, Girl! podcast, the singer also shared her plans for the weekend. This Mother’s Day will be much different than previous years, due to COVID-19. Though many enjoy brunches or pre-paid vacations, Kandi and millions of other moms will spend the holiday at home, and Kandi has one small request.
“I don’t really plan a lot. I did tell them that I want us to get all dressed up and take a picture together,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star said.
Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, have a four-year-old son, Ace, conceived via in vitro fertilization. Kandi’s daughter, Riley, 17, from a previous relationship, plans to attend New York University in the fall.
Later in the interview, Kandi detailed difficulty getting pregnant again, which prompted Kandi and Todd to opt for a surrogate, Shadina Blunt, who delivered their five-month-old daughter Blaze last November. She encourages people to do their research before starting the process of matching with a surrogate.
Kandi is currently alleged to be the “Night Angel” on the Fox series, The Masked Singer.
