The singer, who is nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album, wrote a lengthy Instagram message about being recognized for her You Should Be Here mixtape.

“ALL MY LIFE I SAID NOTHING ELSE MATTERED… I DIDN’T GO TO THE AWARD SHOWS OR THE PARTIES OR ANYTHING THIS YEAR, I SKIPPED CELEBRATING BECAUSE I SAID NOTHING ELSE MATTERED UNTIL I GOT NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY,” she wrote.

The Atlantic Records artist adds that she is still shocked by the news. “I jus got to London it’s 1:47 pm and I’m on the ground shaking and crying… I don’t even know what to do with myself,” she wrote.  “Grammy nominated before 21. THANK YOU GOD. Shout out TSNMI, SHOUTOUT MY TEAM, TSUNAMI MOB RECORDS X ATLANTIC RECORDS, THIS IS SURREAL.”

The mixtape, which features guest appearances from Chance the Rapper and BJ the Chicago Kid, peaked at number 36 on the Billboard 200.

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air live on CBS on Monday, February 15, at 8 p.m. from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
