R. Kelly fans will be happy to know that their favorite singer is looking to release his upcoming album, Black Panties, later this fall.

During Sunday’s listening session in Atlanta, Revolt TV captured the crooner announcing that his highly anticipated disc will arrive on November 11. The self-proclaimed King of R&B also revealed the project’s concept.

“I took my story and what I’ve been through and I channeled it,” he said in the four-minute clip. “If you can take tragedy and turn it into triumph, that’s when you’ve reached the zenith of a true champion. Don’t mean to be too deep but this s**t is real.  I didn’t run under a rock and go over here or there.  I stayed focused.  And I’m more focused then ever.”

At one point during the listening session, Kelz revealed the album reflects everything he deals with on a daily basis.

“My story is all of this: sex, money, broke, women, clubs and even church. It’s all of those things mixed up into one,” he shared. “I’m not afraid of it, I understand it is the nature of life. This gift I have is a beautiful disease and I’m glad I got it.”

Led by his new single “My Story,” featuring 2 Chainz, Black Panties marks the crooner’s twelfth studio effort, following 2012’s Write Me Back, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
