Kelly Rowland on rumored Destiny’s Child reunion during On the Run II tour: That’s news to me!

David Becker/Getty Images via ABCThe ladies of Destiny’s Child created a headline-making reunion during Beyoncé‘s set at Coachella in April.

So of course, fans began to wonder if Bey, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams would keep the party going on Bey and JAY-Z‘s On the Run II tour this summer.

Bad news — Kelly recently told People that the rumor is just that — at least for now.

“This is the first time I heard it,” says Kelly.

“I was like, ‘Well, that’s news to me!'”

She continues, “There hasn’t been anything we discussed. She and Jay are getting ready to go on tour — I’m sad because I won’t see those babies [Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s children Blue IvyRumi and Sir].”

Kelly mentioned that the rehearsals for DC’s surprise Coachella appearance were “so fun,” regardless of the “long days” set aside for preparation.

“I think the best part was it felt like we were just on stage yesterday,” said Kelly.

“It didn’t feel like it was years that we haven’t been together, and that’s how natural we are together as friends, as sisters.”

As previously reported, Kelly Rowland and Destiny’s Child group mate Michelle Williams joined Beyoncé for a note-perfect five-and-a-half-minute set at Coachella that included their hits “Say My Name,” “Soldier” and “Lose My Breath.”

The Coachella set was the highest-profile Destiny’s Child reunion since they performed together during Beyoncé’s halftime show at Super Bowl 47 in 2013.

They also staged a brief surprise reunion to perform at the 2015 Stellar Gospel Awards.
