by

Derek Blanks/Interscope/UniversalKeyshia Cole is back in the studio to begin work on her seventh effort, her first independent released after parting with Interscope Records.

The singer posted an Instagram photo of herself sitting at a mixing board with hitmaker London on da Track, who is responsible for hits like T.I.‘s “About the Money” and Tyga‘s “Hookah.”

“Finally going home from #Studio my musical soulmate for this album @LondonOnDaTrack ! I gotta be up at 8AM tho,” she wrote in the caption.

Cole added that it was a “very productive session” and thanked her contributors for being a part of this album. “I’m really excited about the music we’re creating! #Love,” she wrote.

The singer also made sure to post a 15-second teaser of herself working on a new song, possibly titled “Don’t Waste My Time.” Keyshia sings with her middle finger up: “He seem so sincere, but he better get another Cartier watch/Don’t waste my time, I don’t have it for you/ You blowing mine, playing with my mind.”

So far, Keyshia has enlisted Ron Fair to serve as the executive producer for the follow-up to last year’s Point of No Return.
