Kiana Ledé shares TikTok nerves after the Silhouette challenge

by

Universal Music GroupThe Silhouette challenge has taken over social media over the past few weeks, with celebrities such as Tiffany Haddish, Common and more transforming their bed-time look into something a lot sexier, while dancing to slow songs such as Paul Anka‘s “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” or Doja Cat‘s “Streets.”

R&B vocalist Kiana Ledé tells ABC Audio as much as she enjoyed partaking in the challenge, the nerves were still very present.

“Everyone’s doing it,” she joked. “I was really nervous to do that. I don’t know why.”

Ledé said she didn’t understand how she could be so nervous when she loves to “twerk” with her friends.

“I don’t really care. I’m not like a conservative person, but for some reason that challenge it had me,” she continued. “I think it’s TikTok. I think that’s what it is because TikTok is so hard to do. To actually time everything out, these kids have talent.”

Although she may have TikTok nerves, we all know Kiana Ledé is most comfortable performing on stage. In honor of Black History Month, she will perform for a second launch of Hulu’s Your Attention Please series featuring Black innovators and creators.

Ledé intends to reveal “a different side” of herself while performing “Attention” from her critically acclaimed debut album, KIKI — which peaked at #7 on Billboard’s Top R&B albums chart.

“I’m excited for everyone watching Your Attention Please, to see a new side of my performance…a different side,” she added.

Hulu’s hour-long music special airs Thursday, Feb. 18 at 8:00 p.m. ET, hosted by comedian Craig Robinson.
