Kodak Black facing additional gun charges

John Parra/Getty ImagesAfter being sentenced to 46 months in prison last week for falsifying information to buy firearms, Kodak Black is facing more gun charges.

The Miami-Dade State attorney’s office has also charged the 22-year-old with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the Miami Herald.  As a “habitual violent offender,” the rapper faces an additional 30 year sentence on each count.

Black, born Bill Kapri, was arrested in Miami in May for lying about his criminal history on a federal document needed to buy a gun. It was later discovered that one of the guns he purchased had been fired during an attack on two homes in Broward County, Florida.

The ”Zeze” rapper was previously convicted in November 2013 of attempted robbery with a weapon.

Black also faces rug and gun possession charges in Canada, and trial on a rape allegation in South Carolina.
