JUCOLedisi‘s ninth studio album, Let Love Rule, doesn’t arrive until this September.
However, she’s dropped her second single, “Add to Me,” for hungry fans who just can’t get enough of the singer’s dulcet tones.
“Add to Me” is all about relationships, specifically, as Ledisi explains, about how men should step up their game when it comes to attracting women.
“To me, women should act like, ‘We’re independent and self-sufficient. We’re going to make it happen with or without you. So, if you’re going to be here, add to my situation. I know I’m going to add to yours,'” she says in a statement.
She adds, “Anyone that you are with the question should be how are they going to add to you? Most women want a great man that enhances who we are.”
Ledisi’s single, “High” is currently number fifteen on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs chart. You can pick up your copy of Let Love Rule on September 22.
