The singer tells ABC Radio that fan will see the whole range of R&B on display at the shows.

“They will see themselves on stage. They will see energy. They will see R&B at its finest, not just me but from other artists — Leelah James and Raheem Devaughn that’s with me,” the singer says. “We’re giving it all, but there’s different versions of soul that they’re going to be educated on, which I love. “

The singer says a big part of the energy comes from the diverse crowd the tour is drawing. “R&B is alive and well and the response is so great, because it’s a different audience, it’s not just old school,” she says. “The people are all over the place — you have people that are high end and low end, it doesn’t matte. It’s like everyone came to enjoy and be uplifted and you can tell they’ve been waiting for this — it’s refreshing.”

Ledisi’s Intimate Truth tour concludes at Atlanta’s Symphony Hall on March 29.
