Mindy Small/FilmMagicLess than two weeks into the new year, LeToya Luckett and her husband Tommicus Walker have called it quits.

On Monday, the R&B singer announced that she and her husband of three years are officially splitting up.

“After very prayerful consideration, Tommicus and I have decided to get a divorce,” wrote Luckett on Instagram.

“It is my deepest desire for us to be loving co-parents and keep a peaceful environment out of respect for our children,” she continued. “Please understand our need for privacy. Thank you in advance for your prayer, support & space to heal as we tread through this challenging time.”

Sharing the news on his page, Walker said it was a “difficult decision” and added that the couple will “happily remain committed as caring friends with great love and respect for one another.”

Luckett and Walker married in Austin, TX, in December 2017. They share two children: two-year old daughter Gianna Iman, and son, Tysun Wolf, who was born last September. Walker also has a nine-year-old daughter, Madison, from a previous relationship.

Fans got a glimpse into the couple’s marriage on the last season of VH1’s T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle series. In one episode, during one of the couple’s counseling sessions, Luckett mentioned Walker often used an “aggressive” tone and unkind words when speaking to her.

This is the second divorce for Luckett, who was previously married to author Rob Hill Sr. for a few months in 2016.
