Photo by James DittigerIf you needed another reason to tune into Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart, Lifetime has finally unveiled the official trailer the upcoming Toni Braxton biopic.
In the lengthy preview, we see newcomer Lex Scott Davis playing Toni as she navigates the early parts of her career. At one point, it seems her mother wasn’t too pleased with how the record company was packaging her daughter.
“You don’t sell sex, you sell pain,” an executive tells Toni, who would go on to endure financial woes, struggles with illness, divorce and raising her son with autism.
The original made-for-TV movie airs Saturday, January 23 at 8 p.m. ET. The two-hour film is being executive produced by Braxton and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. In addition, an hour-long special, Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton, featuring interviews with Braxton, her family and others, will air at 10 p.m. immediately after the movie.
