Lil Baby joined civil rights attorney Ben Crump and the family of George Floyd in Washington, D.C., Tuesday to push a police reform bill on the one-year anniversary of Floyd’s passing.

On Wednesday, “The Bigger Picture” rapper shared a photo of himself and Vice President Kamala Harris having a meeting inside the White House.

“Big shoutout to @vp for taking the time out of her busy day to sit with me and have an open discussion! #wegottastartsomewhere,” Baby wrote on Instagram.

In the comments, fans called Baby “legendary” for taking part in the necessary conversations to bring much-needed change to the world. “From the trap house to the White House. I love to see it,” wrote one fan, while many declared “Lil Baby for President” in 2024.

Many viewed Lil Baby as a hip-hop savior after releasing his protest anthem, “The Bigger Picture,” in June 2020. The song and music video reflected the unprecedented protests that took place following the death of George Floyd, who died after former police officer Derek Chauvin, who was found guilty of murder and manslaughter in April, held a knee on Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes.

The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act calls for Congress to establish a national registry of police misconduct, limit qualified immunity for police officers, and ban racial profiling by officers at state, federal, and local levels, among other things.
