Lil Baby on his potential 2021 Grammy win: If I do win, then I’ll have to go get 10 more Grammys

Lil Baby‘s protest anthem, “The Bigger Picture,” landed him two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance — accolades he’s rightfully earned.

“Whatever comes, I’ll take it,” said Baby in an interview with The Los Angeles Times. “If I do win, then I’ll have to go get 10 more Grammys.”

As the Atlanta rapper continues to climb music charts, earn more accolades, and set trends as this generation’s G.O.A.T, he admits, “I haven’t been able to take it all in, because I haven’t gotten fruits of my labor yet.”

“The Bigger Picture” marks Baby’s highest-charting single, after the record debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after its June release.

Also in June, Baby landed his first #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart for his sophomore effort, My Turn — three months after its release. Landing one of this year’s biggest-streaming releases, he also became first artist to go double-platinum after releasing a deluxe edition.

Lil Baby says he hopes to be back performing on stage for fans as early as next summer, with hopes the COVID-19 vaccine will be effectively distributed.

“Hopefully, with the vaccine, stuff will be open next summer,” he said. “My album’s strong enough to ride it out till the end, though. I almost feel like I got robbed, but I ain’t gonna stop. Everything happens for a reason.”
