James Dimmock/NBCJesus Christ Superstar Live airs Sunday, April 1 on NBC and four tracks from the broadcast’s original soundtrack have been released ahead of the television event.
One of the songs comes from John Legend, called “Gethsemane [geth-SEM-uh-nee] (I Only Want to Say).”
John stars as Jesus in the live production of the classic Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Tim Rice musical.
Three other songs from the soundtrack are also available to stream now via the usual digital platforms: “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” by Sara Bareilles, “Superstar” by Brandon Victor Dixon and “Overture.”
The original soundtrack for Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert will be available digitally April 6 and in a two-disc set April 27.
