Atlantic RecordsLast week, Lizzo was thrilled to become an answer on Jeopardy!, and now she’s ecstatic that one of her favorite singers says that she definitely has the “juice.”
The “Truth Hurts” singer/rapper had another milestone moment over the weekend when Mariah Carey gave her a glowing endorsement. Vogue asked Mariah, “Which up-and-coming singer should I listen to?,” and Mariah replied, “Lizzo.”
“I got the @MariahCarey stamp of approval b**** oooooohhhh my goooooooooooooodness,” Lizzo tweeted.
Mariah responded, “You don’t need my stamp, you’re 100% that b****!!!!”
Lizzo is continuing her amazing roll after “Truth Hurts” recently tied the record for the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for a rap song by a female artist. It equaled the mark of seven weeks set in 2014 by “Fancy,” by Iggy Azaela featuring Charli XCX.
Lizzo’s also on the cover of the December issue of British Vogue, and is up for Six Soul Train Awards and three American Music Awards.
Lizzo is now on her Cuz I Love You Too European tour with shows this week in the U.K., Germany, The Netherlands, and Denmark.
