Disney’s Onyx Collective, which focuses on creators of color and stories dedicated to underrepresented communities, has ordered the limited series The Plot from Endeavor Content.
The eight-episode series, which will stream on Hulu, is described as “a gripping cat and mouse story” in which a struggling author — played by Green Book and Moonlight star Mahershala Ali — “commits an act of literary theft that changes his life irrevocably.” When someone becomes wise to his secret and threatens him, Jake will have to go to great lengths to protect himself and the life he’s built.
Ali will also serve as producer on the show. Disney is the parent company of ABC News.
