MAC CosmeticsAll you’ll want for Christmas is Mariah Carey’s new MAC lipstick. The singer has teamed with the cosmetic company to create the perfect stocking-stuffer for this holiday season: a shimmery, champagne-colored lipstick called “All I Want.”
It is, of course, named after Mariah’s trademark holiday tune “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and will hit stores this December. Mariah tells POPSUGAR Beauty the limited edition lipstick was designed to flatter many skin tones.
“I wanted something different for the holidays,” she says. “It’s not a red lip; it’s actually a champagne shimmer with a frost texture. I wanted to go away from the typical red lip that everybody usually does for Christmas. It’s really beautiful.”
Mariah says the color’s like an updated version of a ’90s-inspired hue. “It’s something that I’ve always loved, that color,” she says. “So it is sort of a throwback, but I think it’s going to feel modern, too.”
Mariah also confirms a full Mariah/MAC Beauty Icon collection is coming later in 2016. “We’re not talking about it too much yet,” she says. “[The products are] going to work with that lip, and they’re all kind of in that vein. But I can’t talk too much about it or they’ll kill me.”
