Mary J. Blige Files Countersuit Against Entertainment Firm Over Scrapped Concert

by

Facebook.com/MaryJBligeMary J. Blige has reportedly filed a countersuit against a company that claims the singer cancelled a concert appearance, scheduled for Dallas in December 2012, at the last minute.

In June, Vision Entertainment Worldwide (VEW) sued Blige claiming the singer had not returned a 145-thousand-dollar deposit it paid her for the Dallas date, despite the cancellation.

According to TMZ, Blige alleges in her countersuit that it was VEW that breached the contract because the company did not provide first-class air travel for her and her crew.

According to the report, Blige has no plans to return the cash, and is demanding that the company pay her the balance of the original deal — $105,000.
