by

ABC/Lou RoccoMary J. Blige gets the 411 from Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in an upcoming one-on-one interview with the former secretary of state and first lady. Apple Music has tweeted a one-minute preview of the interview.

The clip from The 411 with Mary J. Blige shows the 45-year-old singer performing for Clinton with Bruce Springsteen‘s “American Skin (41 Shots),” which was written about the 1999 police shooting death of Guinean immigrant Amadou Diallo.

Blige sings, “If an officer stops you, always be polite. And never run away from a squabble, always keep your hands in sight.”

“Is it a gun? Is it a knife? Is it a wallet? Is it your life? It ain’t no secret, my friend. You can get killed just for living in your American skin,” she continues.

The teaser ends with Blige asking Clinton, “I just want to know, where do we go from here?”

Blige debuted her current single, “Strength of a Woman,” at a Clinton fundraiser back in March.

Clinton’s episode of The 411 premieres Friday on Apple Music.
