Photo by Michelly Rall/Gallo Images/Getty ImagesMaxwell, Mariah Carey, and Ciara are among the first round of performers heading to the 2016 Essence Music festival, taking place this summer at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
Essence has announced the entertainers will perform on the main stage during the 22nd annual event, which runs June 30 through July 3. Additional newly confirmed acts includes Babyface, Charlie Wilson, Tyrese, Daley, Andra Day, Jeremih, Faith Evans, LION BABE, and the U.K.’s Lady Leshurr.
Additional performers will be announced at a later time.
