Meek Mill‘s criminal justice organization, REFORM Alliance, is furthering its efforts to help more than two million incarcerated individuals at risk due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through a partnership with Madonna’s Ray of Light Foundation, Pair of Thieves founder Cash Warren, and a few other organizations, 100,000 additional masks will be sent to prison facilities to protect inmates and prison staff.

“We need to stop #COVID19 from spreading inside of prisons if we want to stop it from spreading outside of prison walls, too,” REFORM declared on their Twitter.

In addition, 50,000 masks will be distributed to the Cook County Jail and Illinois Department of Corrections, and an additional 20,000 to the Louisiana Department of Corrections. The remaining 30,000 masks will go to Vacaville Prison in California, FCI Ray Brook in New York, and Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department in Massachusetts.

Last month, REFORM Alliance sent 100,000 surgical masks to the Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman, the Tennessee Department of Corrections, and one of the largest correctional facilities in the world, New York’s Rikers Island.
