Melanie Fiona on New Album: It’s Going to Be the Most Important Album of My Career

by

Universal Music GroupSince her departure from Roc Nation, Melanie Fiona has remained relatively quiet about her next studio effort, until now.

Earlier this week, the singer spoke about delivering “the most important album of her career” in an interview with The Source, in which she talks at length about her long-awaited project.

“I have a new album it’s pretty much finished I’m really excited to share with everybody I’m looking at a spring release,” she spills, adding “I just want to make it the best that I can for my fans and also to be good to myself which means taking the time to get every idea and notion that I want to say on this album because I think this is going to be the most important album of my career thus far.”

She adds that the set is all about “self revelation,” and she’s found new inspiration having grown “spiritually and emotionally.”

The upcoming disc will serve as the follow-up to 2012’s The MF Life.
