In the Kawai Matthews-directed clip, posted on YouTube, a glowing Melanie stands in front of a black backdrop while belting her uplifting tune. Just before the video fades, the camera pans down and shows her baby bump.
“I’ve never been one for the rules/I see no limit to what I can do/ I’m up for the challenge in spite of you/If not me, then who?” she sings on the Andre “Dre” Harris-produced song.
The ballad will appear on Melanie’s third album Awake, due out in early 2016. The singer’s effort will include the singles “Bite the Bullet” and “I Tried.”
