Michael Jackson Fans Worldwide Can Salute the King of Pop on What Would’ve Been His 55th Birthday

It’s hard to believe that Thursday, August 29, would have been Michael Jackson‘s 55th birthday. To celebrate the King of Pop’s legacy, fans are being encouraged to take part in an an unprecedented global event, dubbed the Michael Jackson We Are One Worldwide Birthday Celebration.

The idea is to honor MJ by spreading his message of unity, harmony and hope through social media. Throughout the day, fans can participate by sharing their Instagram photos and videos and giving suggestions on how to make the world better by using the hash tag “#MJWeAreOne.” 

The late singer has over 63 million “likes” on his Facebook page, and countless fans are looking forward to keeping his memory alive.  One fan commented on the page said this worldwide campaign “is why he is the greatest entertainer of all time,” while another wrote, Rest in peace sweet loving soul as you helped much of the world find peace and share love through your music.”

In related news, Timbaland revealed during an interview with Revolt TV that he’s begun working on a new project that is somehow incorporating Michael’s music. The mega-producer said in a cryptic YouTube video that the first single from the project is a song called “Chicago,” and he described the collaborative effort as “two kings working together.”
