Former FLOTUS Michelle Obama, has assembled what she’s calling her “voting squad,” to co-chair her national non-partisan get-out-the-vote vote campaign.
The former First Lady of the United States says in a Twitter video, “Last year, we went big. Millions of new voters made their voices heard for the first time. Now the stakes are even higher.”
The dream-team of big celebs includes Shonda Rhimes, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, Selena Gomez, Megan Rapinoe, Janelle Monáe, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, NBA baller, Chris Paul, and YouTuber Liza Koshy, with the overall goal of getting more Americans to vote in 2020.
It’s all part of the Mrs. Obama’s When We All Vote organization formed last year.
