ABC/Byron CohenSinger-songwriter Miguel will take you “Higher” tonight on ABC’s Greatest Hits.
A handful of recording artists will perform hit songs of 1985 to 1990, including Miguel’s soulful rendition of British rock vocalist Steve Winwood‘s #1 hit “Higher Love.” The song was released in 1986 on Winwood’s fourth studio album, Back in the High Life.
Miguel’s performance on Greatest Hits arrives on the heels of his recently released track, “How Many.” The song, produced as a rough cut, was created as a response to the shooting deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, along with five enforcement officers in Dallas, Texas, during the week of July 4.
Greatest Hits airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
