Atlantic RecordsMissy Elliott will be recognized as a female innovator at a special ceremony later this month at the United Nations.

The iconic rapper will be among the honorees at the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Summit on November 15 in New York City. The event will be live streamed to 144 countries and 111 top universities around the world.

The goal of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Organization is “to empower women and girls to become active participants in the economy by igniting a network of women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion, and advance communities around the world,” according to event organizers.

This will be the latest of many awards Missy has received this year. In August, the “Work It” rapper was presented with the MTV Video Music Awards’ Video Vanguard Award. In June, she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and one month earlier, she became the first female rapper to receive an honorary doctorate from the Berklee College of Music.

Elliott’s latest single, “DripDemeanor,” is the first track released from her Iconology EP she released over the summer.
