Monica Hits the Studio with Jermaine Dupri

Image Courtesy RCA RecordsNow that he’s no longer managing Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri can focus on new music projects. The producer has teamed with Monica for her eighth studio album.

The singer shared a 15-second Instagram video of her new song that scolds men who don’t appreciate a good woman.

Dupri also shared an Instagram picture of himself next to Monica. “Last night at the crib writing with @monicabrown #GunsandRoses literally,when we get together #walkinginhistory” wrote JD.

Interestingly, Usher, who is also working on his next album, was snapped alongside the duo in the studio. “#Luv4LIFE @howuseeit @jwarhol my history is nothing without those I shared it with.. We lived, learned & grew #Together #MusicIsForever just like our friendships !!!!,” wrote Monica.

With the exception of her debut album, 1995’s Miss Thang, JD has contributed to every album that Monica has released, including her most recent effort, 2012’s New Life, which spawned “Anything (to Find You)” and “It All Belongs to Me” featuring Brandy.
